Homemade Hamburger Pizza: A Childhood Favorite There’s nothing quite like the comfort of a homemade meal, especially when it’s a recipe passed down from Mom. This homemade hamburger pizza was a staple in our house growing up—simple, hearty, and always a crowd-pleaser. Some of my favorite memories are of helping in the kitchen, spreading the sauce, sprinkling the cheese, and impatiently waiting for that first cheesy, beefy bite straight from the oven. What makes this recipe so special? It’s incredibly easy to make with just a few simple ingredients: savory Beaty ground beef, melty mozzarella, and a classic pizza sauce, all piled onto a quick homemade dough (or a trusty Jiffy crust for convenience). The result? A deliciously satisfying pizza that’s both nostalgic and perfect for busy weeknights or family pizza nights. INGREDIENTS:

     The Jiffy method:

  • 2 boxes Jiffy pizza crust mix
  • 1 cup hot water

        Prepare according to package directions

 

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat oven to 400°F
2. Prep the ground beef by cooking in a skillet over medium heat until cooked through. Season with Italian seasoning and any additional seasonings of choice.
3. Shape the pizza crust by rolling the dough out on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle the size of your sheet pan. Grease your sheet pan with your choice of oil. Lift and transfer dough into the pan, then press it into the sides of the pan firmly to form a lip of dough.
4. Top the pizza with sauce, meat and cheese to your hearts desire. 
5. Bake the pizza for 20 to 25 minutes until the crust around the edges is puffed and a deep tan color. 
6. Cool, cut into fun squares and serve! Leftovers will keep for about a week, but it'll be gone long before then!
